thebrokencradle A brilliant album that touches on just about everything, from neoclassical to ambient to glitch. What I love about this album is that you never quite know what to expect, but the shifts aren't jarring or out of place. Great work. Favorite track: GODMODE.

about

A genre bending journey birthed from a year that felt like a waking nightmare. Drum n'bass sensibilities collide with neoclassical piano riffs, underscored by throbbing basslines, surrounded by skittering sound design. Vocoded vocals slithering in and out of synth lines made of dreamlight, hyperspeed drums transmitting directly into your amygdala, awakening your third eye to an ocean of ambient calm. Or some shit like that. Does anyone actually read these things? Writing about how amazing your own stuff sounds just feels ... I don't know, masturbatory or something. It's ick. I still love you, though, and that's what counts. That, and the knowledge that the concept of "I" is merely a construct, an illusion created by the mind and the true essence of who and what we are is luminous, kind, and eternal, and wholly connected, between each and every one of us and all living beings. Also, the new gluten free Oreos? Surprisingly good.
